what is the best color lens that gives you the best clarity and protection for snowboarding goggles ?

There are a bunch of great options depending on light conditions. For sunny days a darker lens in a gray or brown is your best bet but pretty much any tint will work well.

Now, on stormy days things get a little less clear (in more ways than one). Two very popular tints are rose and yellow. Yellow increases visual acuity (which is a fancy way of saying it makes things appear brighter) and rose is best at filtering blue light (blue light is what causes flat light) and thus offers the best contrast. I find, that if it is a darker stormy day or if I am riding more in the trees (where there is less light) then yellow works the best. If it is a brighter day or if I’m not riding in the trees too much then I much prefer rose lenses as they offer the best definition.

By far, the most common lens tint is amber. This is a decent universal tint as it combines red and yellow to create a lens dark enough for a sunny day but offers enough contrast and increased acuity to work well on a stormy day. I find that any "universal" type tint works okay in all conditions but not great in any one condition.

If you can only have one type than amber is a great choice. If you can have two, go for a darker lens for the sunny days and pick either a yellow or rose for those storming days. If money isn’t too big a deal Smith as an awesome lens available called the Sensor Mirror. This lens has a great combo of yellow and rose tints with a blue reflective coating that blocks the flat light. This is the best stormy day lens I have ever used.

EDIT: And if by protection you mean UV protection then you don’t really need to worry as every goggle made today offers complete UVA and UVB protection, no matter what the tint is.

my first question is, is there any way to shrink motocross race pants? I bought my pants last year at the end of the season, and since then I have lost weight. They pants are pretty big on me, and i don’t want to have to go buy a new pair. Is there any way to make them smaller around the waist?? thankss

and my other question is what size surf board is best for a beginner 15 yr. old girl? a 6′8" a 7′2" or a 7′6" ? Im about 5′7" and weight about 135, im very muscular, and athletic, and do snowboarding, wakeboarding, and skateboarding….any help would be greatt!!!! thankss!

also, what does it mean when you see 3/8 and all those number for wetsuits? which size would be best for surfing in water like the jersey shorre??? thanksss!! :]

Im 14 and im riding a 5′11" but i think you should try something like a 5′11" or 6′0" seeing you wakeboard and snowboard u should have a bit or experiance with the water but if u r looking for a longboard the size dont really matter. Any questions my email is Matt_surf@hotmail.com

What clothing do I need for a snowboarding trip?

Posted: November 25th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Snowboarding Clothes | 4 Comments »

I’ll be snowboarding for the first time for 4 days/3 nights. It is 28 degrees where I’m going right now and my body has never been in anything under 40 degrees. I’m not sure the types of clothes I should buy or how much of it to buy. I want to be as comfortable/warm as possible without spending more money than I need to. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I’m a guy, if it matters.

Thanks in advance.

You dont have to buy those like $200+ big jackets, basically just wear some a not too thick snow jacket, a toque (beanie/wool hat) would be nice since it prevents snow falling on your head and keeps you warm. Gloves of any sort basically, try to find thick and waterproof ones i guess, since your hands do pretty much turn into icicles. For your legs, I would say not to wear jeans, it doesn’t keep you warm, and if you’re planning on playing a little bit with snow, then it’s very uncomfortable to be in wet clothing, so get some waterproof snow pants, or some thick pants if you’re just taking a walk in the park. Shoes…you should probably have that settled? Just regular snow board boots. Thick snowboarding socks would really help as well. By the way, if you’re planning to wear a snow jacket, if you’re easily frozen, then you can always wear a hoodie underneath (dont buy jackets too fit/small), although people normally just wear a t-shirt or a long sleeved shirt underneath. Alrightt, Have a fun winter trip! ; )

sexual, physical,mental problem?

Posted: November 21st, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Womens Snowboarding Pants | 1 Comment »

Ok. So im a healthy good looking guy, 24 years old. A year and a half ago I got out of a long relationship. 4 years and engaged. I continued sleeping with her for up to a year after the split. Then we stopped. Now There’s another girl I’m really into, we been hanging out/kinda dating for 6 months. She finally, after the longest wait of my life with a girl, wanted to have sex. So the first time she was wasted and lied there like a sack of rocks. I wasn’t into it so of course I couldn’t get an erection. Normally if a smoking girls nude in front of me that’s not a problem. So she was embarrassed, n didn’t wanna try again. A month later (last night) we go at it again. I was dead tired from snowboarding all day but I figured it would be a good way to end the night. So we get into it, I go down her pants. I got an erection, she pulls me on top. Then…. nothing. It just went away. Im worried this could be a problem. The girl no longer wants to see me, Im embarrassed by myself. She thinks I still like my ex n don’t wanna sleep w another girl. She also said It could be that I’m nervous since its a new girl, which Im a lil worried about performance after 6 months. but that’s never effected me before. I don’t know if im used to having sex with my ex. Which was the standard fuck around, foreplay, I get head, then sex, where as this girl doesn’t give head. idk… does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be my problem, whether physical exhaustion, or a sexual problem, or could it be a mental problem? Im so lost right now n feel horrible. Thanks

No It is neither sexual nor physical and nor mental..it is psychological..
Tip: second time do not write this much long texts so that you’ll get more answers dude =)!

Doesn’t have to be the best and please include goggles, snowboard, boots, ect.

Boots- $60-400 (decent- 100-200)

Bindings- 100-700 (decent-200-250)

Board- 150-1000+ (decent- 300-500)

Goggles- 50-150 (decent- 70-100)

Pants- 30-200 (decent- 70-120)

Jacket- 50-250 (decent- 80-150)

Helmet- 50-250 (decent- 70-150)

Gloves-50-200 (decent- 70-100)

All accessories you would ever need total- 25-150 (decent setup- 50-70)

Prices can vary with brand and quality and sales and stuff, but snowboarding definitely doesn’t run cheap though. However, it’s worth every penny.

best brand for snowboarding jackets?

whats the best ever brand for Snowboarding Jackets? orrrr…. what do you use

I use 686, Burton, Sessions, and Oakley (Yes, they started making Jackets too!) But I would check out proboardshop.com they have massive sales during the summertime in the US and I think better selection than the-house.com. And they categorize the jackets by brand so its easy to find one you want.

What kind of snowboard goggles should I wear?

Posted: November 21st, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Snowboarding Goggles | 7 Comments »

It’s my first year snowboarding and I was going to buy some goggles. I don’t know what size or brand or anything about getting goggles. If it’s any conciliation, I’m 13, if that matters for size. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What does being good have to do with wearing nice goggles fershizzle?. If you feel like buying cheap goggles cause you’re not good and risking them fogging up all the time go ahead.

However the smart person would suggest buying good goggles to avoid an annoying occurence such as that, take a look at.

As for lenses this is a basic description on which ones do what, usually your high end goggles come with an extra pair of lenses of a different color.

Black/Polarized: Great for sunny days. Cuts the glare without changing the color of things.

Green/Silver: Good for bright days, maybe with some passing clouds. Helps bring out the contrast. Good for seeing exactly where that ledge ends.

Yellow/Amber/Gold Lenses: Good for all around including low to medium light. Helps with seeing shadows.

Purple/Rose: Good for flat light or low light. Helps bring out the contours and shadows.

Clear Lenses: Good for night and flat light.
