Sierra says: The Ronin Rocket Pant is from Burtons Ronin clothing line. If you guys out there prefer a slimmer fitting pant, check out the Rocket Pant. Burtons slim fit pants are design to fit more like streetwear, they have a slimmer waist, hip, and thigh but have the oversized ghetto slits so you dont have to tuck your pants into your boots. I’ll be snowboarding for the first time for 4 days/3 nights. It is 28 degrees where I’m going right now and my body has never been in anything under 40 degrees. I’m not sure the types of clothes I should buy or how much of it to buy. I want to be as comfortable/warm as possible without spending more money than I need to. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I’m a guy, if it matters.
Thanks in advance.
You dont have to buy those like $200+ big jackets, basically just wear some a not too thick snow jacket, a toque (beanie/wool hat) would be nice since it prevents snow falling on your head and keeps you warm. Gloves of any sort basically, try to find thick and waterproof ones i guess, since your hands do pretty much turn into icicles. For your legs, I would say not to wear jeans, it doesn’t keep you warm, and if you’re planning on playing a little bit with snow, then it’s very uncomfortable to be in wet clothing, so get some waterproof snow pants, or some thick pants if you’re just taking a walk in the park. Shoes…you should probably have that settled? Just regular snow board boots. Thick snowboarding socks would really help as well. By the way, if you’re planning to wear a snow jacket, if you’re easily frozen, then you can always wear a hoodie underneath (dont buy jackets too fit/small), although people normally just wear a t-shirt or a long sleeved shirt underneath. Alrightt, Have a fun winter trip! ; )

Anything better than REI and Altrec? What I want is best clearance prices on kids’ skiing clothing and accessories, while it’s still off-season clearances time.
I don’t want gear that will last a lifetime. I need gear for kids, who will outgrow it before the next season. So naturally I want to save on it. I rent kids’ skis and boots, but I still need to buy jackets, mittens, goggles, socks, underwear, you name it.
